Hi, I'm Michele. Welcome to Number Sixteen B&B
This is a new and exciting venture for me and I look forward to making your stay in Amble as enjoyable as possible.
Number Sixteen B&B is a newly opened business in the lovely little town of Amble on the Northumberland coast and has 4 ensuite rooms available. The property is 100 yards from the harbour and is directly on the Coastal Cycle Route. There is secure bike storage in the rear yard and shortly there will be bike shed/rack available.
The property was fully renovated in March 2018 and visitors can expect comfortable rooms ( view ) with a modern ensuite shower room (one with a bath and overhead shower) complimentary toiletries, a flat screen smart TV, tea & coffee making facilities and biscuits.
There is free WiFi in all areas and a cosy sitting room ( view ) with books, games, TV and DVDs.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and you can choose cereals, yoghurt, fruit etc from the buffet while your cooked breakfast is being prepared.
Sausages and bacon are from R C Roland Butchers in Amble (sausages made and English bacon cured, by them).
Fresh free range ggs are supplied by Rob Ord Eggs at Chatton Park Farm and milk is produced and bottled a mile away by Hauxley Dairy Farm.
There are superb restaurants nearby, including Sea & Soil, Jaspers and The Old Boat House which has won several awards. Sit outside the Fish Shack with a glass of prosecco and enjoy the view over to Warkwoth Castle.
If you would prefer to stay in you can enjoy local fish & chips in the dining room with plates, cutlery and condiments available.
Packed lunches can be ordered with 24 hours' notice and picnic blankets, beach towels and cool bags are available for guests' use.
Amble is on the beautiful Northumberland coast close to beautiful beaches and many nearby attractions. Amble still has a working fishing harbour and this makes for a lively and interesting place to stay.
There are boat trips out to Coquet Island, managed by the RSPB to see the Puffins and Roseate Terns. There are also seals around the island and sometimes you will see them in the harbour.
Come and enjoy a stay in the Friendliest Port!
